When should homoeopathic medicines be taken?

As a general rule before meals, or on an empty stomach.  However, Homoeopathic medicines should not be taken during or immediately after a meal.   Peppermint and coffee can antidote homoeopathic remedies so half an hour before or after a coffee or cleaning your teeth is suitable.

How should Homoeopathic medicines be taken?

The medicine should be taken directly under the tongue.  It is absorbed by mucous membranes and capillaries into the blood stream.  It does not reach the stomach and so the stomach is not affected, thus a person with a sensitive stomach can safely take Homoeopathic medicines.  Homoeopathics are a delicate form of medication.  Tablets or pills should not be touched, held in the hand or picked up off the floor.  Pills can be rolled into the lid of the vial and then rolled into the mouth to rest under the tongue.   Liquids can be dropped into a little water and held under the tongue or dropped into the lid of the container, emptied into the mouth and held under the tongue for a few seconds.

How should the medicines be stored?

Store your remedies away from direct light and heat, and away from all strong-smelling substances, i.e. liniment, perfumes and peppermint, and electrical appliances such a fridge, T.V. microwave and stereo.

How long should I take these remedies?

With low potency remedies, i.e. first aid remedies, as the condition improves, the dose can be reduced.  For acute problems the remedies can be repeated every 15 to 20 minutes until improvement then reduce as the condition improves.
